I was looking through my excel sheet and wondered what shows I've more or less marathoned, so here's the list (2011 and early 2012 shows might not be accurate as I did not do proper record keeping then).

I usually don't marathon entire show in a sitting or two, at best it'll take a week or so for me to build up interest before finishing the last 10 or 20 episodes on the last day. This is apparent in shows like Gankutsuou where it took me 3 months to watch the first 12 episodes and only 2 days for the final 12. In recent years I haven't really marathoned anything that I hadn't decided I'd marathon beforehand, which is either a Yoshitoshi ABe rewatch or some romantic tragedy that I'd watch in a sitting to try and capture all the emotions (It doesn't really work). Taking a look at this quick graph (Only considers backlog shows):
chart
You can see that the 3 approximate stages of me watching anime: When I just watched whatever was on youtube instead of sleeping in 2011; When I had little preference and watched whatever with ease from 2012 to 2014; And my current stage, where I watch several shows at a time because I don't have the capacity to watch more than 1 or 2 episodes of a show without getting exhausted.
